Grimsby Town are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Omar Bogle in the two one victory over Luton Town at the weekend at Kenilworth Road was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Bogle was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘A trip to the Sky Bet League Two leaders? No problem for Grimsby and top scorer Bogle. The 24-year-old gave the Mariners a first-half lead, and his seventh goal of the season late on ensured a 2-1 victory for Paul Hurst’s men.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Bogle for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course taking the victory.

Full Team:

Mark Howard (Bolton Wanderers), Christopher Schindler (Huddersfield Town), Tom Anderson (Chesterfield), Ryan Shotton (Birmingham City), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), James Coppinger (Doncaster Rovers), Josh Scowen (Barnsley), Danny Mayor (Bury), Scott Hogan (Brentford), Chris Porter (Colchester United), Omar Bogle (Grimsby Town).

Manager – Michael Appleton (Oxford United).
