With white Elephant Lane to support Darlo cannot hang around for long

Darlington along with ourselves, Luton and Crawley are fancied by the bookies. And with white Elephant Lane to support Darlo cannot hang around for long.

They went down on April 13th despite a win at league leaders Rochdale as results elsewhere confirmed relegation to the Conference. Simon Davey (second choice for the job to Mark Cooper) then resigned in June leaving Ryan Kidd in the job for just 11 days. He too resigned as top choice for the job Mark Cooper left Posh to finally take up the job five months and one relegation later.

He has been a busy bee bring in experienced Kevin Austin, Tommy Wright ( Grimsby), Kelvin Jack (Southend) and non leaguers Chris Senior (Altrincham) and Michael Brough (Mansfield) plus Paul Terry ( brother of John) who has some stories to lighten the mood.

Two 6 month loans at either end will also make a big difference. Liam Hatch from Peterborough United knows the place and gets goals whilst Danny Hone from Lincoln is a quality player who just needs the chance to prove himself.

On 16th August Richard Offiong received clearance to join from Carlisle on loan
