Former Grimsby player Phil Jevons will not be playing for Huddersfield against the Mariners in the FA Cup second round on Saturday.

Jevons has joined Huddersfield on a months loan but Bristol City have refused him permission to play in the cup and do not want him cup-tied before they enter the competition.

Jevons was at Town from July 2001 till June 2004 and spent time 7 months on loan at Hull City after arriving at Blundell Park for £250,000 from Everton, he then left on a free and joined Yeovil where he spent nearly two years before going to Bristol City.
