Michael Coulson has been called up into the England C squad to face Wales on September 14. Scott Garner however has not been selected despite featuring last season whilst at Mansfield.
The England C team was formed in 1979 to showcase the talents of non League players and is currently managed by Paul Fairclough, who has held the post since January 2003. Paul has of course been very successful at Conference level and has taken the C team to the pinnacle of European football by winning the European Challenge Trophy in 2008.
The Wales game is a warm up for this competition with an Estonia qualifier coming up in Tallinn this October. The side also contest the last remaining home nations football competition. The Four Nations Tournament comprises England, Scotland, Wales and the full Gibraltar side. We won the tournament for the seventh time in May 2008, winning all three matches without conceding a goal.
