Midfielder Nick Hegarty has gone to York on a month`s loan.

21 year old Hegarty only made 19 appearances for the Mariners last season and has yet to make a start this season.

Buckley has decided that it would benefit Hegarty to go on loan and is likely to start for the Minstermen this weekend when they play Stevenage at the Kit Kat Stadium.

Alan Buckley told the official website: “Nick was in the team when I joined the club last November. I’ve been quite impressed with him, he’s got a lovely left foot.

‘York City will benefit from him and when he comes back we will benefit from his time there.’
