Town await the visit of Morecambe tomorrow in a League Two clash.

Morecambe won promotion to the Football League Last season for the first time in their 86 year history.

They have had a decent start to this season and have picked up wins against Preston, Wolves and Tranmere in cup games and wins against Wrexham and Stockport in the league.

They also qualified for the semi finals of the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy after beating Hartlepool on penalties and could be drawn against the Mariners tomorrow.

Vital Grimsby Says:

The mariners are now running out of options in defence and have to hope that no other defender picks up an injury or Newey and Fenton don`t get booked. We also welcome Morecambe to the Football League.

Grimsby Team News:

Justin Whittle is ruled out after turning his ankle during Town`s JPT win celebrations and is now likely to be out for the next two weeks.

Martin Butler is back after missing Town`s last game due to him being cup tied and Tom Newey returns from suspension.

Gary Jones is a doubt following limping out of the JPT while Danny North could keep his place and partner Butler upfront.

Ciaran Toner is expected to return after missing the Doncaster game through illness.

Both Newey and Fenton are one yellow away from more suspensions.

Player to watch: Danny North

Could start alongside Butler upfront after a good performance against Doncaster in the JPT last Tuesday.

Morecambe Team News:

Matthew Blinkhorn and Garry Thompson are both set to miss the match.

Carl Baker could return from an ankle injury and keeper, Joe Lewis, could also return to Morecambe`s starting line-up.

Player to watch: Carl Baker

Is set to make his return to Morecambe`s starting line up and is their top scorer with 6 goals.

Match Prediction:

Grimsby 2-1 Morecambe – I was unsure has to go for Town to narrowly win or a draw, I expect this to be a tight game based on both clubs recent results but think Town can grab the win.
