Profile of Hayes & Yeading

As the name suggests the club was formed by the Merger of Hayes and Yeading FC in May 2007. Forward they went together in the Conference South, indeed the Latin motto ‘Porro Simul”, which means ‘forward together’, features on their badge.

Promotion came in their second season, 2008-09, when they finished 4th, securing a place in the play-offs. They beat Eastleigh 6-4 on aggregate in the semi-final, coming back from 4-2 down in the first leg. Then in the final they defeated Hampton & Richmond 3-2.

Hot on the heels of last seasons 17th spot gaffer Garry Haylock has signed Bradley Pritchard from Tamworth on a free and Adam Bygrave from Histon for an undisclosed fee. Two free agents, Lee Harrison and Peter Holmes have also joined.

With 11 leaving in the summer it will be another game struggle against teams with much bigger budgets.
