Grimsby’s official site is reporting that Chairman John Fenty is to allow the planning permission on the site at Great Coates is to be allowed to expire.
The announcement was made at the AGM of the club on the 30 September.
The Mariners will continue to work with the council to identify areas for a new Grimsby Town ground.
