Grimsby Town are boosted by the return of influential duo Rob Jones and Tom Newey as they host Rochdale at Blundell Park tonight.

Former Stockport defender Jones has missed the Mariners last three matches after suffering a hernia injury. But he is expected to start tonight after successfully negotiating a reserve match in midweek.

And boss Russell Slade told the Grimsby Evening telegraph he was delighted to welcome back his all-action centre-half.

?He has been a big miss for us and it will be great to see him back,? said Slade. ?Tonight is a great time to have him available, because we are playing a Rochdale side that scores plenty of goals.?

Newey is also back after missing the last match ? a 3-2 win at Oxford ? through suspension and he could replace Gary Croft who has been suffering with a back complaint.
