Morgan is all set to leave Lincoln this summer, although it was expected he would leave for his base in the North-West with Bury the favourites for his signature.

Now the Imps captain is ready to feel the wrath of the Sincil Bank fans after saying he would welcome talks with his former boss Alan Buckley.

Earlier in the week we revealed how Morgan had requested a transfer away from Lincoln to return to his family and further his studies at Manchester University. Now the chance to work with Buckley at Town has seemingly changed his mind.

The 28-year-old Northern Irishman admits he would talk to Town but is in no rush to sort out his future just yet, with his wedding the main focus at the minute.

‘If Grimsby want to speak to me I’d certainly listen to what they’d have to say,’ Morgan told the Lincolnshire Echo. ‘That goes for any club who shows an interest in me.

‘I’ve spoken to a couple of people, but nothing has been agreed so far.

‘I’m in no rush at the moment. I’m getting married soon so that is at the forefront of my mind at the moment.

‘I plan to get my footballing future sorted after that.’
