Grimsby reserves went to Bradford for their opening game of the Central League but ended up being thrashed.

A young Mariners reserve side play at Bradford last night but ended up on the end of a 7-1 defeat.

Barry Conlon was the hero for Bradford after netting 5 of the goals while Rory Boulding scored the other 2.

Peter Bore was the scorer for the Mariners, he made the score 1-1 after Conlon had put Bradford in front, but then Conlon scored two minutes later before Boulding scored to take the half-time score to 3-1.

The reserves are next in action on Wednesday 10th September at home to Rotherham.
