Shearer Anger

Shearer was livid as Newcastle beat Grimsby in the Carling Cup. The reason for his anger was the Grimsby Captain who according to Shearer had ‘done’ him following an arm to the face. Shearer had to have three stitches for the cut on his lip.

Shearer admits he lost his cool and said he wanted to ‘stick one on’ the Grimsby captain!

‘I wanted to go out there and stick one on him. I’m angry because he’s done me. It’s blatant, I know he’s done it, the referee Mark Halsey is five yards away and hasn’t done anything.’ Before saying he answered The Mariners in the best way possible: ‘But the easiest way is to answer them is by scoring goals and that’s what we’ve done.’

Grimsby have issued a statement saying: ‘Grimsby Town Football Club have reviewed last night’s clash between Justin Whittle and Alan Shearer. We feel that there was no deliberate intent on behalf of Justin to catch Alan with his arm. The referee on the evening was very close to the incident and no action was taken. We hope that this does not overshadow what was a pulsating cup-tie between Grimsby Town and Newcastle United.’

Shearer is just a baby. I’m sure he’s had much worse in his time, it’s just because it’s League Two opposition and he thinks we should roll over. Grow up Shearer!
