Grimsby’s joint managers, Rob Scott and Paul Hurst, have begun the cull of the current playing squad.

In several interviews with media outlets, the pair have made it very clear that there would be wholesale changes to their squad for next season.

They have not hidden their displeasure with the team’s recent performances, and have now swung the axe – for the first time.

1st team squad members Charles Ademeno and Serge Makofo, together with fringe players Josh Fuller, Tom Corner and Mark Gray, have all been released from the club.

With just four league matches left to play, it won’t be very long before we hear the names of more players who are being shown the door.
