Grimsby stayed with 4-5-1 formation only making one change from the team that started against Burnley, Danny North starting in place of Isaiah Rankin.

The only change on the bench was Nick Hegarty for Peter Bore.

Bury made the first chance of the game with James Dean shooting over the bar with in the first 2 minutes.

Town got the first goal on 10 minutes when ex-mariner Ben Futcher fouled Danny North, Tom Newey took the free kick and sent the ball into the box where Paul Bolland right-footed the ball into the net to put the Mariners 1-0 up.

Town then began to dominate much of the first half.

Bury had a chance of pulling a goal back but a weak header by Richie Baker went wide.

Glynn Hurst managed to get into the box only to have his shot blocked by Paul Bolland.

The first half ended with boos from Bury fans and cheers from the 437 travelling Mariners fans.

Bury made a tactical substitution at half time bringing Andy Bishop on for James Dean. Grimsby keeping an unchanged team.

Bury started the second half well when a Hurst header missed from 12 yards out.

Bury had a few more chances when a fantastic shot by Richie Baker went out for a corner and a shot by Hurst was caught by Phillip Barnes.

Grimsby made a substitution on 62 minutes replacing Danny Boshell for Isiah Rankin.

Bury then had a shot by Hurst being saved by the feet of Barnes.

Town made there second substitution on 70 minutes with North being replaced by Gary Jones.

A couple of minutes later Bury got the equalizer when Bolland fouled David Challinor. The free kick was taken by Bishop and was met by Parrish who right footed the ball low and into the bottom right of the goal.

With 10 minutes remaining a cross by Hurst was met on the right side of the six yard box, but was blocked by Barnes.

Colin Woodthorpe had a shot with a minute of normal time remaining but was blocked by Till.

Grimsby`s man of the match has to be Phillip Barnes for pulling of some good saves to help the Mariners secure a draw.
