Mike Newell, boss of Grimsby Town between October 2008 and October 2009, is now being touted on the interweb as a possible new boss of Lincoln City.
Newell had an eventful time in charge of the Mariners, saving the club from relegation in 2008-9, before then achieving just 13 points from 10 matches the following year. John Fenty, despite saying that certain under-performing players will be shown the door first before Newell, booted the ex Everton star out after a dismal 2-0 defeat to Rochdale, which saw the club fall into the relegation zone, a zone that sadly the club could not get out of.
