Great Scott Ace Opts For Shrimps over Mariners Pie

Morecambe look to have edged Grimsby in the race to sign former Huddersfield and Bury utility man Paul Scott. The Shakers midfielder is set to sign a two year deal in the next few days ahead of officially joining on July 1st.


According to the grapevine Paul has opted to stay in the league despite the Mariners offering better terms, proving money isn`t everything. A veteran of 333 apps and 15 speculative goals versatile Paul would certainly have done a job for us.


Though Paul started out as a left back, since signing for Bury 6 years ago he has played in midfield and more recently as a right back. He can also play as a centre half though at 5` 9′ height is against him.
