Legendary Lincoln boss John Beck takes charge of Histon

With a few quid behind him no one should write off the infamous talents of legendary ex Lincoln boss John Beck now in charge at Histon.

The appointment of Russell Hands as Chairman on July 29th has boosted John Beck`s budget, which had been rumoured to be about £125 per week under the former Chairman. To their credit Histon finished 18th last year and under take-no-prisoners oh heck Beck, they will undoubtedly continue to punch above their weight.

Prior to the new regime John Beck had only managed to tempt free agents Zac Mills, Lewis Taaffe and Jim Stevenson; however armed with funds four loans should go through prior to kick off. Romone McCrae (Midfield) and Danny Mills (Forward) are on the way from Peterborough Utd; and Lee Wootton (Midfield) and Oluwafemi Ilesanmi (Defence) are on the way from Dagenham & Redbridge. Beck is also awaiting international clearance for summer signings Remy Clerima, Sekou Diarra and Mamadou Gomes.
17th Aug – three unattached non contract arrivals – Edward Adjei, Jordan Pavett & Lamine Sagna
