York manager Martin Foyle has his hands full with his warring striker Michael Rankine who was at it again in Saturday`s 1-2 home defeat against Kidderminster. Rankine had two spats with different players during the game with Foyle warning them to cut it out.

The last thing the House of York needs is another Civil War ahead of a visit to the Blundell Bastille and the lair of the Mariner with no hair. Bet Kempson and Watt the Blundell beasts are licking their lips.

Firstly he wrestled Brodie for the right to take the penalty. Rankine won that one and leveled the scores – well the match scores. Then at the end of the game Rankine and Duane Courtney had to be separated by York players as the posturing started. Courtney conceded a late penalty from which Tom Shaw settled the game.

Despite Foyle suggesting it was ‘handbags` and that it will not be happening again, Rankine has previous. Last season he shoved Brodie to one side at Eastbourne as he again took and successfully scored a penalty.
