What a difference a few weeks make in this topsy turvy league with wins for AFC Wimbledon, Newport County and Luton – and a shock defeat to Fleetwood away at bottom side Altrincham.

Lets start with the Kingston side, AFC Wimbledon, who are back on top tonight of the Premier, with Yakubu scoring for them on 72 at home to Gateshead.

A battle of the top teams in Sussex today, and it was the Welsh wizards Newport County who went back to the Valleys with a 3-2 victory against Creepy Crawley. The game itself was quite topsy turvy, with Newport taking the league on 25 through Rose, before BRodie (32) and Neilson (38) gave Evans men the lead. Reid read the ball to equalise on 42 and a shining Welsh Knight on 47 gave Newport the victory. Crawley 2nd, Newport now 3rd, but with a gap of three points from fourth placed Luton.

The Hatters today were at the seaside at lovely Eastbourne. Pilkington put them one up on 18, before Cook equalised for Borough on 35. Our favourite named Barnes-Homer then put Town 2-1 up, before Johnson equalised on 67. Luton then took control, with two goals from Danny Crow – 72 and a 76 penalty – securing Luton`s victory.

Fleetwood are still fourth, despite going down to the curse of the new manager – with Ken McKenna taking over at Altrincham Town this week – and he gave the Manc side a much needed 1-0 victory at home. Twiss on the hour with the only goal. Alty are still bottom but the gap to 20th place is now just 7 points.

Rushden and Diamonds are bringing up the rear and it took them into injury time to get a win today away at Tamworth. Rene Howe put Diamonds one up, but a minute later sparkling Perry equalised. A powerful shot from Power in the dying moments secured a win for Justin Edinburgh.

Two recent ex League teams met at Field Mill today. Mansfield went one up through the ex Imp Virgin Connor on 9, and yet another late goal claimed a draw for Darlington, with Wright scoring on 90+SEVEN.

A last half hour blitz from Wrexham today, who were the visitors at Hayes and Yeading. Harris (61), Cieslewicz (85) and yet another injury time goal scored by Taylor (90+3) giving the Welsh sides in the Premier a happy Saturday. Hayes 0 Wrexham 3.

Consolation Connell secured a point for the Mariners today, at home to Southport. Blakeman put the Port 1-0 up on 25 before the 73rd minute equaliser. Six bookings though for the North West side today so they may be up for a fine. Peacock got a yellow for Grimsby.

Another draw, as the East and West Midlands met between Kettering and Kidderminster. Kettering had it sewn up for 80 minutes, with Solkhon scoring for them on 4, before the Nanny McPhee equaliser on 84. Griffiths was sent off for the Harriers on 48.

Yet another 1-1 draw in the League, with York at home to Bath City. A Rankine Penalty was not missed on 30 (come on work it out) before Russell equalised on 63.

Histon win again, and it was a spark from Sparkes on 46 giving the Cambridgeshire side all three points away at Forest Green.

Talking of Cambridgeshire sides, the U`s themselves got a useful three points today, at home to Barrow. Russell (14), a Pearson og (45+2) put Cambridge 2 up, before Owen put the win in doubt for them on 79. Coulson made it safe on 89. So not just six points going to Wales tonight, the same with Cambridgeshire!
