Beagrie Departs Town

Despite only arriving at Blundell Park in August, the former Everton and Man City wing-wizard has left his new club by ‘mutual concent’.

The club statement on Beagrie’s departure reads: ‘After discussions between the player and the manager, the club have agreed to release Peter Beagrie from his contract to enable him to further his flourishing career in the media.’

‘In the short time Peter has been with the Mariners, he has been nothing less than a model professional on and off the pitch.’

‘Everybody at the club wish Peter well for the future.’
